ABOUT US
Growing up on the edge of the Curragh, racing was always going to be in my blood. Both of my parents were deeply involved in the industry—my father Johnny was a jockey who worked with Mick O’Toole and Con Collins before spending 20 years at Kildangan Stud, while my mother Anne rode Arc En Ciel to win a bumper for Con Collins at Mallow in 1975 and also went on to work at Kildangan.
I spent 12 years riding as an amateur jockey, including valuable spells with Jessica Harrington and Colm Murphy. During that time, I was fortunate to ride many winners and was involved with top-class horses - experiences that shaped my understanding of the game at the highest level.
I began training in 2011 and have since developed a dual-purpose operation, steadily building a strong and competitive team across both the Flat and National Hunt codes. From modest beginnings, the yard has grown year on year, with a consistent flow of winners and performers at all levels.
One of the standout moments of my training career came in 2017 when Baie Des Iles landed the prestigious Grand National Trial at Punchestown before going on to win at Grade 2 level in France at Auteuil.
More recently, the yard has continued to progress, highlighted by a remarkable Galway Festival where we recorded four winners from just six runners, in 2024 - a milestone that reflects the quality and consistency we strive for. With Listed flat and jump winners in Ireland, England and France along with Group winners.
We continue to build on that momentum, producing winners on a regular basis.
Operating from our purpose-built facilities near Naas, our focus remains on developing each horse to reach its full potential. With a dedicated team and a growing group of loyal owners, we are excited about what the future holds and remain committed to achieving continued success at the highest level.
